Kachin State: Myitkyina and Putao
Myitkyina is in Kachin State, 779 km north of Mandalay. One can take a two and a half hour flight from Yangon (via Mandalay) or a 24-hour train ride from Mandalay. Myitkyina stands at the confluence of the two tributaries Malikha and Malikha. It is known for the famous Myitsone.
Puta-O is located at the northern extremity in Myanmar and surrounded by snow-peaked mountains. It is near to the base camp of Mt. Khakhaborazi (5,889m) the highest mountain in Myanmar and in South East Asia.
For the adventurous, there are many activities like trekking, mountaineering, white water rafting and skiing in the surrounding mountains.

Chin State : Kanpetlet & Mindat
Trekking over the Chin Hills in Chin state on the western side of Myanmar, close to the Indian border (one of the last frontiers), is any adventurer’s dream.
A great place for nature lovers and it is the only place to see the tattooed-faced Chin ladies at Kanpetlet and Mindat. It is one of the famous national parks in Myanmar with the third highest mountain in the country. Hiking to the Mt. Victoria top is a pleasant experience.

Kayin State : Hpa An
Hpa An : Capital of Hpa in the southern part of Myanmar. A picturesque town, 70 km east of Yangon, is famous for its fascinating Lungbini Garden. Surrounding caves and mountains are the highlights of the area.
You can learn about the lifestyle of the Kayins by hiring a tuk tuk, motorcycle or kayak to visit the paddy fields.
